EP13 Zhao Hui solves the funding problem for Henghui

To alleviate Henghui’s financial constraints, Tao Wuji helped Dr. Xia contact multiple companies to promote their product technology, hoping to attract potential investors to see Henghui’s potential. Returning home intoxicated that night, Tao Wuji, being taken care of by Tian Xiaohui, remembered Shen Jing’s advice. If she were Tian Xiaohui, she would nurture this boyfriend well, believing that one day he would become the next Zhao Hui, realizing how valuable the title of bank president is.

After a night of contemplation, Tian Xiaohui no longer silently endured, but learned how to build relationships with people. Previously, due to office gossip, Secretary Luo misunderstood Tian Xiaohui for using Wu Xiaofei to advance her career and treated her coldly. However, when Tian Xiaohui took the initiative to give gifts and revealed she had a boyfriend, Secretary Luo’s attitude immediately changed, and the distance between them narrowed significantly.

Suzhenren was dissatisfied with Cheng Jiayuan’s close relationship with Tao Wuji and realized that Hu Yue admired Tao Wuji. Therefore, he reminded Cheng Jiayuan to keep his distance. Cheng Jiayuan firmly believed that Tao Wuji already had a girlfriend and had no intention towards Hu Yue. Seeing his son’s resolute attitude, Suzhenren recalled how they were both robbed of women by Zhao Hui and his disciple. Feeling jealous, he called Director Li to disclose the problems with the loan submitted by Zhao Hui.

During the subsequent meeting, Li Sen confronted Zhao Hui about the loan issue. Zhao Hui insisted that as long as Henghui’s product could enter the market, it had the potential to become a dark horse in the new generation of automotive software. However, Li Sen was unconvinced, believing that Zhao Hui’s risky behavior of granting loans to high-debt, uncertain repayment sources was reckless. He mocked Zhao Hui for using the depositors’ money to advance his own career.

This statement left everyone in the room stunned, unwilling to be involved in their dispute. Zhao Hui argued that after many years in the industry with visible achievements, he did not need to worry about the so-called five million. Based on his experience, he judged that the company was worth supporting. However, Li Sen remained firm in his opinion, and the meeting ended in discord.

Tao Wuji inadvertently heard from Su Jianren and Li Sen discussing Henghui’s bleak prospects. Su Jianren warned him not to meddle in these affairs. Meanwhile, after careful consideration, Zhao Hui contacted Xie Zhiyuan and asked him to help with something. Soon after, Austin called Tao Wuji to express his gratitude.

As it turned out, Tao Wuji’s senior brother had presented the technical data to the company’s CEO, sparking immense interest. In addition, Far Journey Trust also approached Henghui, willing to transfer the loan with slightly higher profits than the Binjiang branch. Initially, Austin thought it was Tao Wuji’s credit, but Tao Wuji himself was unaware. He realized it must have been Zhao Hui who helped behind the scenes.

After work, Cheng Jiayuan took Hu Yue to Tao Wuji’s house for dinner, while Tao Wuji coordinated with his girlfriend to help his good friend win the girl. Tian Xiaohui was not good at cooking, but Hu Yue took the initiative to cook a table of delicious dishes, openly expressing her affection for Tao Wuji and even fed him in front of everyone.

The atmosphere became extremely awkward, and Tian Xiaohui, following her woman’s intuition, quietly observed Hu Yue. She deliberately mentioned Cheng Jiayuan pursuing Hu Yue. In contrast, Hu Yue’s expression darkened, making excuses to leave first. Cheng Jiayuan, seeing this, hurriedly followed downstairs, only to hear Hu Yue admit that she liked Tao Wuji and had confessed to him earlier but was rejected.

Hearing Hu Yue’s words, Cheng Jiayuan’s heart sank. He angrily asked Tao Wuji if he already knew about Hu Yue’s feelings. Before Tao Wuji could explain, Cheng Jiayuan self-deprecatingly regarded him as a good friend but was made a fool of on the spot and left alone in frustration.

Li Sen privately approached Su Jianren for a conversation, attempting to recruit him to his side. He mentioned that Zhao Hui had been the branch manager for a long time, and with Su Jianren’s qualifications and background, he could replace him at any time as long as he was willing. Su Jianren instantly understood Li Sen’s implication and respectfully declined.

Miao Che sent his wife and daughter to the hotel and was about to leave when Mali suddenly stopped him, informing him that the donation had suddenly increased to one million US dollars. Miao Che immediately messaged Zhao Hui, expressing trust in his character but suspecting something was amiss with the donation, hoping he would stay vigilant to prevent exploitation.

Su’s father’s condition worsened, receiving multiple critical condition notices. Relatives rushed to the hospital, and Su Jianren even obtained a fake divorce certificate to fool his father. While handling post-mortem matters, Su Jianren cried loudly at the dinner table, and relatives comforted him, but Cheng Jiayuan believed he was pretending to be filial. However, Su Jianren publicly tore up the will, claiming that he wanted to fulfill his father’s wish rather than covet his property.

That night, Cheng Jiayuan escorted the drunken Su Jianren home. Su Jianren, in his drunken state, revealed his true feelings, leaving Cheng Jiayuan feeling uneasy. Early the next morning, Austin brought good news—Henghui had successfully signed a contract with Huali. With Henghui’s finances in good shape and orders full, Austin thanked Tao Wuji for everything he had done for them.
